Job Title:
Custodian & Substitute Bus Driver
Tell us about your family:
I have a nut of a husband Eddie. He is the love of my life! One wild child daughter who is 25 years old. I call her her my lioness. She is fierce! A big bouncing baby boy who is 23 years old and 6’9”. He is one giant teddy bear with an enormous heart! One older bossy sister, Deanna, but, yeah, I love her. She was born to be a momma! I come from a good family. Respectful and honest. My momma, Becky, who is newly wed to Robert who I call “Pops”. My momma is an amazing woman. She can do anything she sets her mind to and boy can she sing! Pops is a huge heart walking around on legs. My daddy, Frank, who is the best example of what a real man should be! Honest, straight, and true. He brought into my life a spunky firecracker of a mom named Carolyn. She brings such laughter into my life. And the rest of my extended family are simply wonderful. I am proud of them all!
How long have you worked for LR?
I started at Logan Rogersville as a sub bus driver way back in 2006.
What is your favorite thing about working for LR?
The people. This is the best bunch of people who love with all their hearts! They know what being a community is all about! Caring for other!
What is something about you that might surprise people?
Most everyone knows that I sing but what most don’t know is that I spent the majority of my life on the back of a horse. There is a whole community of people out there who simply know me as the “problem horse whisperer “. I professionally trained and taught Natural Horsemanship for most of my life. I specialized in problem horses. I “get” those beautiful magnificent beasts and they “get” me. In a big way horses saved my life!
What is your favorite quote?
“I took you from the ends of the earth, from it’s for those corners I have called you. I said you are my servant, I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:9 & 10
What's the weirdest job you've ever had?
I don’t really have a job that I would have called weird because I have always chosen jobs that I would enjoy.
What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?
Touring on stage singing! Of course!
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I would love to be one one of those people who can pick up any instrument and be able to play it at its finest.
What do you like to do when you're not at school?I love my church! It is my home! And I love my church family!
Thank you for being a Wildcat, Beth!
