This week we are introducing you to Jaime Anglen!

English Learner Teacher

Tell us about your family:
Amazing husband of 13 years Chris, three children, Jackson 12th grade, Bella 6th grade, and Ben 3rd grade, and our blue heeler/beagle mix rescue dog Sprinkles!

How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
12th year in education, at Rogersville, 9 years as a MS English teacher, and now 3rd year as an ELL teacher

What makes you passionate about education?
Being able to help students find success in their education, especially ones who have struggled for years, then see them excited to learn something new! Especially a new language!

What is your must-have classroom item?
My chromebook and backpack since I travel buildings!

If you had to choose a different grade/subject to teach, what would it be?
I love using technology, so I would probably choose to be a technology specialist to help teachers and students of all grades!

What is something about you that might surprise people?
I love 80s movies, music and trivia, and could probably quote anything from that decade! Including The Outsiders movie. :)

What is one item on your bucket list?
I would love to travel to Ireland, Sweden, and of course to the The Outsiders museum!
