Fourth Grade Teacher

Tell us about your family:
I have 3 sisters that I'm very close to. I also have adorable twin nieces that just turned 8 months old that I try to visit as often as possible. Sam and Olivia are my two dogs. 

How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
This is my 12th year teaching with the last 2 being in LR. 

What makes you passionate about education?
Education was ingrained in me at a young age because my mom was a teacher. I couldn't imagine myself doing anything else. I love learning and love sharing my love with others. 

What is your must-have classroom item?
Books! I love reading and love getting kids to read. 

If you had to choose a different grade/subject to teach, what would it be?
I taught 5th grade for 6 years so I would see myself doing that again. 

What is something about you that might surprise people?
I spent a semester in London while I was in college and fell in love with the city and soccer. 

What is one item on your bucket list?
I would love to watch Chelsea FC (the soccer team I support) play in their home stadium in London.
