Middle School Math Teacher

How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
This is my fifth year as a teacher

How long have you worked for LR?
I have been at LR all five of those years.

Why did you choose to work for LR?
Growing up in Springfield, I always heard positive things about LR so I wanted to see what it is was all about!

What is your favorite thing about working for LR?
The family atmosphere. I feel very fortunate to get up everyday and go to a place where I truly enjoy working with everyone!

How did you know you wanted to be a teacher?
My dad is a teacher and a coach and seeing the impact that he had on students made me want to be a part of that; something bigger than myself.

What is something about you that might surprise people?
I went bungee jumping in Peru and hiked Machu Picchu, and on an occasion I enjoy jamming out to Missy Elliott.

What is your favorite quote?
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day."
2 Corinthians 4:16

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
Fly an airplane so I could travel anywhere at anytime!

What do you like to do when you're not at school?
Spend time with family and friends, traveling, trying new coffee shops, and crafting!
