Kindergarten Teacher

Tell us about your family:
My husband, Nick, and I have been married for 16 years. We have two children who attend LR, Hudson (7th grade) and Reagan (5th grade). We also have 5 dogs!

How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
This is my 16th year teaching (18th in education), but only my 2nd year at LR.

What makes you passionate about education?
I love teaching the little ones! I love their excitement and all of the aha moments.

What is your must-have classroom item?
Fun smelly markers and my laminator.

If you had to choose a different grade/subject to teach, what would it be?
Library and Computers, I've taught computer science in the past and enjoyed it. I also love history, so I think that would be fun as well.

What is something about you that might surprise people?
I lived in Salzburg, Austria for two summers during college. I have also been bungee jumping and skydiving.

What is one item on your bucket list?
I would love to travel to all of the national parks and to Bora Bora.
