Tell us about your family:
I've been married to my husband, Keith, for 20 years and together we have one daughter, Sydney, who is a freshman, and a spoiled little Bichon Frise, Daisy. I also have a bonus daughter, Kenzie who blessed us with a granddaughter, Hayden, and soon to be a second granddaughter due in February.

How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
I've taught for 24 years.

What makes you passionate about education?
I love building relationships with the students who have factors in their lives or experiences that they need help overcoming and encouraging them to come to school every day.

What is your must-have classroom item?
Frixion Erasable pens are a necessity in my classroom.

If you had to choose a different grade/subject to teach, what would it be?
I would be a counselor if I taught something different.

What is something about you that might surprise people?
I grew up on a dairy farm milking cows.

What is one item on your bucket list?
We would love to take our daughter to Hawaii.
