High School Health and PE Teacher and Middle School Volleyball Coach

Tell us about your family:
I am surrounded by a loving family. I have a wonderful fiance and 4 sweet fur babies to love on everyday!

How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
This is my first year teaching, but I was a high school paraprofessional last year which is what inspired me to get my Master's and become a teacher!

What makes you passionate about education?
The students. The students bring me so much joy and I just hope to radiate that joy back to them. I also love talking about caring for your body, so Health and PE fit into that love perfectly.

What is your must-have classroom item?
Snacks. I know that is not educational, but they are a must-have. An actual classroom item I always need and always use would be post-it notes. I am always reminding myself of things as they come to mind.

If you had to choose a different grade/subject to teach, what would it be?
I would enjoy teaching Anatomy, but I would probably stick to the high school level.

What is something about you that might surprise people?
I am an integral part of TWO Guiness World Records ;) I am also an NASM Certified Personal Trainer, I got that certification as part of my practicum for my undergrad.

What is one item on your bucket list?
I have been influenced into being a Minnesota Vikings football fan, so I definitely want to attend a game at U.S. Bank Stadium! Go Vikes!
