Wildcat Wednesday Cindy Shook

It's Wildcat Wednesday! On Wednesdays, we spotlight a member of the LR Wildcat family.

This week we are introducing you to Cindy Shook!

-----------------------------

Job Title:
Middle School Paraprofessional

Tell us about your family:
Married to Al 58 years. Have three grown children: Ida, Joey, and Josh. Four precious grandchildren: McKenna, Jackson, Kensington, and Juliana. Love to work outside on my property and enjoy nature.

How long have you worked for LR?
34 years

What is your favorite thing about working for LR?
The kids and supportive staff. If I can help someone every day see how blessed we all are and realize that we all need one another, then my day is successful.

What is something about you that might surprise people?
I was a twin, but my sibling passed away shortly after birth.

What is your favorite quote?
I will lift mine eyes unto the hills whence cometh help.”

What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
A government job

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?
Raising my children was the most important career I could ever have.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I really don’t know as there are so many options. Math is not my strong suit, so could definitely learn to help kids more.

What do you like to do when you're not at school?
Work outside and read.
