It's Wildcat Wednesday! On Wednesdays, we spotlight a member of the LR Wildcat family.
This week we are introducing you to Elizabeth Chainey!
-----------------------------
Job Title:
Paraprofessional/substitute teacher
Tell us about your family:
My husband, Jody, and I will be married 32 years this coming June. We have raised three sons; Caleb, Lucas and Nathan. I, also, have an 18 1/2 year old Yorkie-Poo named Jack. Lucas got married last July so we have been blessed with our first daughter-in-law, Melody. We are grateful to be close in proximity and spend time together often.
How long have you worked for LR?
I am finishing up my 18th year at LR!
What is your favorite thing about working for LR?
My favorite thing about working for LR is knowing I'm fulfilling my calling of servant hood each and every day, and I'm especially thankful I get to do it for my alma mater!
What is something about you that might surprise people?
After owning and operating a dessert shop for a short while (the food industry is hard work on top of a full-time job), I'd like to take the knowledge I gained and own a food truck.
What is your favorite quote?
Isaiah 40:31 "but those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not become weary, they will walk and not faint."
What's the weirdest job you've ever had?
I don't think I've ever had a weird job...perhaps just weird coworkers! LOL!!
What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?
When I was younger, before I met my husband, I wanted to go into nursing.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I'd like to try my hand at floral design.
What do you like to do when you're not at school?
I love watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball, camping with my family and friends, and listening to praise and worship music!
Thank you for being a part of the Wildcat family!
