Tell us about your family:
I'm engaged to Jamie, and we've been together for 5 years. I like to hunt, and she likes to fish. I'm an Iowa Hawkeyes fan, and she like the Kansas Jayhawks. We love the mountains out West.

How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
This is year 25 for me.

What makes you passionate about education?
My passion for education comes from wanting the kids I teach and coach to become productive members of their school and community – now and in the future. I strive for them to be the best at whatever workfield they choose and to be the absolute best husband or wife, and father or mother, when those times arrive.

What is your must-have classroom item?
Rubber chickens and music

If you had to choose a different grade/subject to teach, what would it be?
7-12 Shop Class (Woodworking)

What is something about you that might surprise people?
I have a need for speed; I get really carsick, and I drive a school bus. I'm always on the hunt for white fudge covered Oreos and Russell Stover white chocolate bunnies. People say I look and act like Chris Farley, but I just don't see it.

What is one item on your bucket list?
To get married on a mountain top and kill a big bull elk with my bow.
