3rd Grade Teacher

Tell us about your family (human and/or fur family):
My husband Josh and I have been married for nearly 10 years. We have one fur baby named Charlie who pretty much runs the show.

How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
This is my tenth year!

How long have you worked for LR?
10 years

What is your favorite thing about working for LR?
The Elementary Staff. The best people work at LRES!

How did you know you wanted to be a teacher?
I actually didn't until later. I first majored in accounting, but I found myself teaching other classmates basic math skills along the way and just fell in love with teaching.

If you had to choose a different grade/subject to teach, what would it be?
Eventually I would like to teach at the university level.

What is something about you that might surprise people?
LR t-shirts make up at least half of my wardrobe!

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
Growing my own herbs and veggies. Neither of my thumbs are green.

What do you like to do when you're not at school?
Spending time with the family.
