Kindergarten Teacher

Tell us about your family:
I have a wonderful boyfriend, Chanler, who also works for the district at the middle school! I have 2 older sisters, who are my best friends. My father is retired from the Springfield Police Department and my mother is also a teacher in the district!

How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
This is my 3rd year teaching, but my first at Logan-Rogersville and in Kindergarten!

What makes you passionate about education?
I had so many amazing teachers when I was a student at Logan-Rogersville that inspired me to want to teach. I have always had a passion for teaching and helping others. I couldn't imagine having a different career.

What is your must-have classroom item?
Doorbell!! Best "attention-getter" ever.

If you had to choose a different grade/subject to teach, what would it be?
I previously taught 2nd grade and really enjoyed it, so I'd have to say that!

What is something about you that might surprise people?
I never learned how to ride a bike (embarrassing, but true lol).

What is one item on your bucket list?
Vacation to Hawaii.
