Tell us about your family (human and/or fur family):
I have one beautiful calico fur baby.
How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
This is my 4th year teaching 7th and 8th grade art and graphic design. I also direct the LRHS musicals and co-direct the LRMS plays. I am a Student Council co-sponsor and Speech and Drama coach at LRMS.
How long have you worked for LR?
I have worked all four years at LR and love it!
Why did you choose to work for LR?
I grew up going to school at Logan-Rogersville and love the supportive community and co-workers.
What is your favorite thing about working for LR?
I love the support and encouragement of my co-workers and administration to continue my professional learning and integration of new ideas. I also love my LRMS family and how much they support one another and the kids we teach.
How did you know you wanted to be a teacher?
I have always loved the arts, whether it is dance, music, theatre, or visual arts. I knew that I wanted to find a career where I could share my love for the arts.
What is something about you that might surprise people?
I love to travel and have been to all 50 states plus 8 countries. I have also taught English to college students for a month in China.
What is your favorite quote?

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?
If I wasn't teaching, I would love to be a travel photographer and/or guide.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I would love to learn to play the violin. The music is so beautiful and soothing.
What do you like to do when you're not at school?
I like to spend time with family and friends. I also love to travel to see new places, create memories, and meet new people. There is so much you can learn by traveling!
