Tell us about your family:
My husband, Keith, and I have two teenagers: Averie and Brady. We also have 3 dogs (Daisy, Winston, and Walter) and 1 cat (Sheldon). We LOVE traveling, Disney, and Broadway!

How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
21 years

What makes you passionate about education?
I love to learn, honestly. I have continued sporadically taking classes even after my Master's-it's just fun! Ultimately, though, it's the students. I love getting to know them and building those relationships. If I can be even one student's "person," then I have done my job well!

What is your must-have classroom item?
Cute pens!

If you had to choose a different grade/subject to teach, what would it be?
I would definitely teach history!

What is something about you that might surprise people?
I'm kind of a contradiction: while I love traveling and people at times, what I really love is being at home! I could stay home for days on end and be perfectly happy.

What is one item on your bucket list?
To publish a novel!
