It's Wildcat Wednesday! Every Wednesday, we will spotlight a member of the LR Wildcat family.
This week we are introducing you to Allison Boyer!

Job Title:
Instructional Coach
Tell us about your family:
I have been married to my husband Kevin for 25 years. He retired in 2020 after 30 years of teaching and coaching at LR. He is now the associate athletic director and shotgun sports coach at Drury University. I have two sons, Ethan (24) and Noah (21) who both attended LR schools K-12. Ethan just graduated from Lindenwood University and works as an environmental scientist in St Louis, MO. Noah is currently a senior at Drury University and shoots on the shotgun sports team. I also have a step-daughter Lindsay (30) who is a University of Arkansas grad and now lives/works in Rogers, AR.
How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
This is my 22nd year in education and my 16th year at LR. I taught 8th grade math and was the MS librarian before moving into my current position. I’m have also coached volleyball, cross country, and track.
What makes you passionate about education?
I am passionate about helping students discover their gifts and talents as well as helping to build their self-confidence. All students need that teacher that believes in them no matter what.
What is your must-have classroom item?
My must have classroom items are a picture of my kids and a purple pen.
If you had to choose a different grade/subject to teach, what would it be?
I honestly do not think I would enjoy teaching any other grade. I love working with middle school students and teachers.
What is something about you that might surprise people?
Most people are surprised to learn that I graduated college with a bachelor degree in psychology and a minor in child and family development. I originally wanted to be a counselor.
What is one item on your bucket list?
I would love to visit every national park.
Thanks for being part of the Wildcat family, Allison!
