It's Wildcat Wednesday! Every Wednesday, we will spotlight a member of the LR Wildcat family.
This week we are introducing you to Jana Jennings!
Fourth Grade Teacher
Tell us about your family (human and/or fur family):
My husband, Dennis and I have been married for 25 years. We are blessed to have two sons and four grandchildren.
How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
I have been in education for 30 plus years.
How long have you worked for LR?
This is my fourth year at LR.
Why did you choose to work for LR?
I chose to work at LR because of the outstanding reputation it has for family, education and community. I knew this is where God wanted me.
What is your favorite thing about working for LR?
Some of my favorite things about working at LR is the privilege to work with some amazing people and students. LR is family and I love that about our school.
How did you know you wanted to be a teacher?
I love children and knew I always wanted to make an eternal investment and influence lives for the future. I was a recipient of some amazing teachers who made that investment in me. In return, I love doing the same for other children. I am forever grateful.
What is something about you that might surprise people?
I met my husband on Sunday, Tuesday he asked me to marry him and five weeks later we were married. From that first phone call until the wedding it was less than eight weeks. We are coming up on our 26th anniversary this May.
What is your favorite quote?
Trusting in the Lord is one habit you will never outgrow.
Isaiah 26:3 & 4
What do you like to do when you're not at school?
I love spending time with my husband and family. Serving in church and traveling are among the few things we enjoy doing together.
Anything else you would like people to know about you?
I am an introvert by nature and only because of my position am I in the forefront.
Thanks Jana! We are so glad you are part of the Wildcat Family!
