It's Wildcat Wednesday! Every Wednesday, we will spotlight a member of the LR Wildcat family.
This week we are introducing you to Patrick Holt!
Agriculture Education Advisor
Tell us about your family:
I have a lovely wife Brooke, daughter Payson, and son Samuel! We raise Beef Cattle, Quarter Horses, and registered Border Collies.
How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
This is my 9th year in this position!
What makes you passionate about education?
I love to see past students succeed in any field, but especially when they become successful in the field of Agriculture or some sort of hands on trade they were introduced to within the Agriculture/FFA program.
What is your must-have classroom item?
A Biltmore stick. For pointing...and of course measuring the board footage and volume of a tree.
If you had to choose a different grade/subject to teach, what would it be?
What is something about you that might surprise people?
My son was born premature at 1lb 10oz, so apparently my birthweight EPD is rather low.
What is one item on your bucket list?
Have a vacation cabin way back in the mountains near Taylor Park, Colorado.
Thanks for being a Wildcat Patrick! We are so glad to have you at LR!
