It's Wildcat Wednesday! Every Wednesday, we will spotlight a member of the LR Wildcat family.
This week we are introducing you to Brittni Allison!
LRMS Physical Education teacher, LRHS JV Volleyball coach, and LRHS Assistant Track coach
Tell us about your family:
My husband, Ryan, and I have been married for 10 years. We have a 3rd grade daughter (Kinley), a kindergarten son (Beckham), and a baby boy on the way (Due in May). We have an 8 year old german shepherd (Bella) and 2 fish (Lava and Fire). I am a "Wildcat" to the core. My parents went to LR as well as my siblings and I. And I am proud to raise our children in this district!
How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
This is my 12th year teaching and coaching, 8th year at LR.
What makes you passionate about education?
Building relationships, helping and encouraging kids, and adding some fun and exercise to their days to help give them an outlet for their energy.
What is your must-have classroom item?
My Stanley or HydroFlask full of ice water, my school keys, and a kickball. We play a lot of kickball at LRMS.
If you had to choose a different grade/subject to teach, what would it be?
I think I'd want to be a librarian.
What is something about you that might surprise people?
My side hobby/job is being a makeup artist for photos, proms, weddings, etc. I love learning new techniques and enhancing natural beauty with makeup. I would go to Sephora any day of the week if I could.
What is one item on your bucket list?
To attend a Duke/UNC men's basketball game.
We’re so glad you’re a Wildcat Brittni!
