Dear LR Families,                                

Thank you for your efforts to keep our schools open during the recent spike in COVID-19 cases. 

As you know we have not required universal indoor masking this school year, except on school buses. Based on new CDC guidance, beginning Monday, February 28, 2022, LR students and staff will no longer be required to wear a mask while on a school bus. Our local county health departments are in agreement with this decision since our local community levels of COVID-19 are now in the medium level.

Per the CDC;
“Effective February 25, 2022, CDC is exercising its enforcement discretion to not require that people wear masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/child care programs. CDC is making this change to align with updated guidance that no longer recommends universal indoor mask wearing in K-12 and early education settings in areas with a low or medium COVID-19 Community Level.”

We will continue to monitor student and staff attendance and keep you informed if any changes are needed. Thank you for doing your part to keep our students and staff safe and attending school in-person.
