Extended Free Meal Program
The Logan-Rogersville School District is happy to annouce that we are able to offer free meals again for the 2021-2022 school year! (A la carte items and extra milk will still require payment.) Even though all students will be receiving free meals, households are strongly encouraged to complete and submit the Free and Reduced Meal Program Application.
Data collected from the Free and Reduced Meal Program applications is used to maintain meal count requirements, report to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) for funding, and establish eligibility for other benefits. In addition, the school district receives reimbursement from the meal program through the funding formula created by the General Assembly based on the percentage of students who qualify.
LR is offering an incentive to complete and submit the Free and Reduced Meal Program application. Each student listed on the application will have their name entered in a drawing for a FREE Wonders of Wildlife National Museaum & Aquarium Family Membership! Five students (one per school) will win. Applications must be submitted by September 17 to be entered in the drawing.
Meals will be distributed weekly for students who are enrolled as virtual or are temporarily quarantined. If you would like to request school meals for your child who is learning from home, please complete the following form or call the district office at 417.753.2891.
