Early Childhood Teacher

Tell us about your family: 
I am a step-mom blessed with a wonderful family, including my husband Travis, our two adult children, Kaden and Avery, and our newest addition sweet little grandbaby, Elliana. We also have three rescue pets, our two cats, Binx and Kitten along with our dog named Zoey. 

How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
This is my 12th year in education. 

What makes you passionate about education?
I am amazed at the growth and development that I get to witness each and everyday. My days are filled with spontaneity, enlightenment and genuine curiosity. There is nothing like seeing a child light up with pride once they accomplish something they have been working hard to achieve. 

What is your must-have classroom item?
Music and colorful pens. 

If you had to choose a different grade/subject to teach, what would it be?
If I had to choose, I think it would be Home Ec (FACS). 

What is something about you that might surprise people?
It might not be surprising, but I love quilting, making sourdough, and going to estate sales. 

What is one item on your bucket list?
I would love to go to Ireland.
