It's Wildcat Wednesday! Every Wednesday, we will spotlight a member of the LR Wildcat family.
This week we are introducing you to Brenda Reuter!
Upper Elementary School Nurse
Tell us about your family (human and/or fur family):
I have been married to my husband, Kraig, for 33 years. I have 3 grown children all living in the Dallas area. We welcomed our first grandchild , Lincoln James, in February. We are empty nesters with our cat, Jinxy Bell.
How did you know you wanted to be a nurse?
My father had a lot of chronic health problems during my childhood, so I spent a lot of time around hospitals. I admired how all the nurses cared and comforted their patients and the families of the patient. They had a huge impact on me.
How long have you worked at LR?
I am just completing my 4th year.
What is your favorite thing about working for LR?
I love all the staff that are at the Upper Elementary. We are one big family. Everyone is very encouraging and supportive.
What is your favorite thing about being a nurse?
I enjoy working with people and I love kids! I've always felt like God put me on this earth to make a difference and I feel like this is a way I can do that.
What is something about you that might surprise people?
I come off as an extrovert, but deep down I'm an introvert.
What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?
I would love to be a chef and open up my own restaurant on a beach somewhere.
What do you like to do when you're not at school?
I love spending time with my family and of course my new grandbaby. I also love doing anything outdoor-camping, biking, hiking you name it.
Thanks Brenda! We are so glad you are part of the LR family!
