FAQ

How does my child deposit money into an account?
The student or parent brings cash or a check to the school office in a sealed envelope with the students name, grade and amount enclosed on the outside of the envelope.  Money deposited by 9am is accessible by lunchtime.

My child receives reduced price benefits, how can they access their account?
Once approved for reduced meal benefits, the student can deposit money into their account.  They still must show their student ID.
Depositing money into their account and using their student ID card to access the account provides the most privacy for the student.

My child receives free or reduced price meal benefits, what selections can be made for breakfast & lunch?
Free or reduced price meal benefits pay for one breakfast and one lunch per day.  At breakfast, the cafeteria offers four choices.  At least two of these items must be taken to count for free or reduced meal benefits.  During lunch, the student is offered a choice from 2 entrees, plus four sides.  An entrée and two different sides (may take up to five) must be chosen to count for free or reduced meal benefits.  Menu boards posted outside the serving line display the meal combinations for the day.  If the student selects an item not included in these meal combinations, an “ala carte” item, or extra of the same item, they must pay for these items.  At the high school, five entrees are offered daily, plus four sides.  An entrée and two different sides (may take up to five) must be chosen to count for free or reduced meal benefits.

Can my child purchase a meal without using their ID card?
The use of their ID card is required. It speeds up the service lines and provides the greatest privacy to students.

What happens if my child loses their ID card?
Students cannot access their account without it.  The student must use cash to purchase a new ID card from the office.  Stolen cards should be reported immediately to the school office.  Replacement cost is determined by the building Principal.

What is the price of a school breakfast and lunch?
For Kindergarten through Sixth grade, Full price breakfast is $1.25, reduced is $.30 and free breakfast is at no charge. Full price lunch is $1.90, reduced is $.40 and free lunch is at no charge.

For Seventh through Twelfth grade, Full price breakfast is $1.25, reduced is $.30 and free breakfast is at no charge.  Full price lunch is $2.15, reduced is $.40 and free lunch is at no charge.

Are there additional ala carte items for sale at breakfast and lunch?
The high school campus is the only school offering ala carte items to be purchased at breakfast and lunch.  Free or reduced meal benefits cannot be used to purchase ala carte items.

My child received free or reduced meal benefits last year will they automatically receive these same benefits this year?
NO! A new application must be completed each year.  Your child will receive these benefits for the first 30 days of the school year.  To continue getting benefits after this time, a new application must be approved for the current year before the 30 days expire.

Can I apply for free or reduced benefits during the school year?
YES! You may apply for meal benefits any time during the school year.  Applications may be picked up in the school office or you may call to request one be mailed to you.

Is breakfast available to all students?
All students are encouraged to participate in the breakfast program, which is served daily.

Can my child use their ID card to purchase ala carte items?
Yes, everyone can purchase ala carte. However, free and reduced meal benefits cannot be used to purchase ala carte items.  Students must have money in their account to purchase ala carte.

We would like to encourage every Parent/Guardian to go to the school website (logrog.net) to check your child’s meal balance.  You may apply for a new log-in and or password through the Parent/Student portal.
