Substitute Certificate Applicants
(Must have a minimum 60 semester hours from academic degree granting program
on the USDOE accredited list - http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/ ) BEFORE
submitting your completed Substitute Teacher Employment Application to the
Logan-Rogersville Administration Office, verify that your Missouri Substitute
Certificate has been issued on-line by DESE and print a copy of your certificate.
Steps
to obtain a Missouri Substitute Certificate:
1)
Applicant applies for a substitute certificate
on-line. Read detailed instructions at http://dese.mo.gov/divteachqual/teachcert/documents/SubstituteTeachersOn-Line--Webinar.pdf .
To begin the application process, go to http://dese.mo.gov and
click on “DESE Web Applications.”
2)
Mail original transcripts to DESE (write “SUB
CERT” and include your educator ID
or SS#). Mail to “DESE, Attn: Certification,
PO Box 480, Jefferson City, MO 65102.”
3)
A substitute certificate will be “issued” on-line,
not mailed.
